MY

story

Whether you are here to explore a collection, acquire an original artwork or learn more about my process, welcome.  I hope the work invites relection and offers space to consider the forces that quietly shape our lives.

My interest lies in the small, often unnoticed moments where a person begins to shift the direction of their life. These moments rarely seem dramatic at the time, yet later stand out as the origin of significant change. Through contemporary watercolour and mixed media, I explore themes such as regret, self-doubt, identity, control, belonging and the stories we construct about ourselves.

I am based in George, South Africa, where I work as a full-time artist and art instructor. Alongside my studio practice, I teach small in-person classes, sharing the techniques and processes that have developed through years of painting. Teaching has become an important part of my creative life, continually reminding me how observation, patience and curiosity shape both art and personal growth.

My work has evolved from decorative and nature-inspired subjects toward more conceptual explorations of human behaviour and experience. Birds, animals, constructed objects and symbolic environments often appear throughout the work, serving as visual metaphors rather than literal subjects.
