Breaking Point grew from an interest in the fragile structures we build around identity, belief and control.

Over time, we create ideas about who we are and how life should unfold. We stack expectations, ambitions and beliefs upon one another, assuming they will provide stability and certainty. Yet the structures we build are often only relevant to the person who built them.

As life transforms our ideas and beliefs, the frameworks created by an earlier version of ourselves may no longer serve us. For something new to emerge, those structures must first break down and give way to transformation.

The work reflects on the idea that breaking points are not always endings. Sometimes they are thresholds. In the collapse of what we cling to, we may discover a deeper freedom and a different way of moving forward.
