superiority

This work explores the idea of self-declared superiority — a position not earned or granted, but constructed and maintained through belief.
The elevated figure appears distinct at first glance, separated from the population below by height and posture. Yet on closer inspection, there is no real difference between them. She is composed of the same material, subject to the same conditions.
The structure that supports her elevation is deliberate, but fragile — a system assembled to sustain a perception rather than a reality. It suggests that hierarchy, in this context, is not inherent, but built. The elevation exists not as a fact, but as an assertion.
The work reflects on how easily distinction can be assumed, and how often it is upheld by the individual rather than the collective. What is presented as separation is, in essence, a distance created in the mind.
